Passover Seder Meal Interest Meeting

Jesus’ crucifixion on Good Friday is the moment when God delivered the world from the bondage of sin, paying for all of our wrongs on the cross. John the Baptist called Jesus the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world, because thousands of years, God’s people experienced deliverance from bondage to Egypt on the night of the Passover when they placed the blood of a lamb over the doorways to their homes. After they were free, God commanded the Israelites to celebrate the Passover meal for generations to come in memory of how He delivered them.

This year we are holding a Passover Seder meal at Grace for our church family to experience the Jewish Passover celebration and see how it ties into the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ on our behalf. During this meal, all the senses will be engaged in the one hour long celebration. The “informational meeting” will help explain why and how a Passover/Seder Celebration will enrich everyone’s Communion table experience for the rest of their lives. The “Body of Christ” will take on new meaning connecting the Old and New Testament stories.

Please join us for an interest meeting explaining the meal and also detailing what you would need to prepare and bring to the Seder meal on March 30th, because we will be asking families and individuals to bring parts of the Seder meal with them. Please RSVP to let us know you are planning to attend this interest meeting.

This is great! I am very interested, but since the Verge class is starting that day, I don’t want to miss the service. I’ll talk with you about how to get the information.

That’s great. You don’t have to be at the interest meeting to attend the Seder Meal.

A love for Jesus Christ and an ardent desire to see Him glorified in the inner city of Greensboro were the impetus for the founding of this non-denominational body of believers. We are striving to bring together God’s people from all walks of life that each might minister to the other according to their gifts and abilities. Our highest aim is that we might together demonstrate the reality of Christ as we are made one.
